Today's Thought: EVERLASTING STRENGTH!
"Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength" (Isaiah 26:4 KJV).
Strength is a fundamental requirement for various activities in life. The scripture also says: 'if thou faint in the day of adversary, thy strength is little'. This implies that, if you don't want to faint or fail in life, build your strength. Strength building is capacity development and it covers all areas of human endeavour. Mental strength is for mental exploits; physical strength is for physical activities; emotional strength is for emotional stability and; spiritual strength is for spiritual triumph in life.
Most of our challenges in life are largely spiritual more than physical. Goliath of Gath was ranting and challenging the Israelites for about forty days (1 Samuel 17:4,16). Despite the mental, physical and emotional trainings of the army, no one was strong enough to face the giant. It took the young man called David with an unwavering trust in God to bring him down without a weapon of war. What God uses to humiliate every giants in our lives is not our age, experience, connections, personal ability but absolute trust in His everlasting strength. The secret to the everlasting strength of God is His Word; because He upholds all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). The Word of God is the power of God and trusting in His Word birth everlasting strength that is built to outlast every challenge in life. Until you know the Word of God, you can't trust His Word and until you trust in His Word, you can experience everlasting strength that cannot faint or fail in life. Shalom!
