Today's Thought: THE SECRET OF TRUE REST AND BEST!
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls" (Matthew 11:29 KJV).
Every one needs and aspires for rest from every struggle of life. We all want to enjoy the best of life. Rest and best are two common phenomena that are paramount to life. The greatest dream in the heart of every human being is of a perfect world. The greatest desire and pursuit of all mankind is the power to achieve this dream. We all want power, which is the ability and capacity to control circumstances and destiny. However, the greatest teacher that ever lived on the earth; whoever said: "All power is given to me in heaven and on earth" (Matthew 28:18). His name is Jesus Christ. In the preceeding verse of Today's text: He made a call to everyone working and heavily laden; to come to Him and He will give rest to all.
Therefore, He revealed the secret of the true rest: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;". The power to control situations, circumstances and destiny lies in taking His yoke and learning of Him. This implies a true relationship with Jesus and learning of Him from The Word of God, because The Word of God is all about Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. In Him is the best in life and learning of Him brings rest to anyone that comes to Him for the rest of life. Let's make it a duty to learn of Him daily from the Word and we shall enjoy the best for rest of our lives. Shalom!
Ponder on this: Every Believer that Learn of Christ Will Find Rest and Experience The Best for The Rest of Life!
