(Kingdom Realities Today Series)

Unveiling the Kingdom of God

Kingdom: Original Intent of the Creation (PART 1)

The Plan, Purpose and Pursuit of the Kingdom of God:
Kingdom is the Creator's primary purpose and motivation for His human creatures. Specifically, a kingdom is the sovereign rulership and governing influence of a king over his territory, impacting it with his will, his intent, and his purpose, manifesting a culture and society reflecting the King's nature, values and morals.

"In the beginning, God made the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth" (Genesis 1:26 KJV).

"The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's : but the earth hath he given to the children of men" (Psalm 115:16 KJV).

"For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods" (Psalm 95:3 KJV).

"Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: [6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel" (Exodus 19:5-6 KJV).

The above scriptures established the plan of God for creation. He is a great King and made man in His image and likeness as king to rule the earth. Dominion is the purpose of man's creation.

God established His priority at the beginning of creation and made it clear by His own declaration to mankind. Jesus Christ came to the earth and reestablished God's number-one priority. During His first discourse introducing His primary message and mission, Jesus established God's priority for all mankind with several powerful and straightforward statements:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33 KJV).

From the above scripture, God established two priorities for mankind: His Kingdom and His Righteousness.

"The greatest tragedy in life is not death but life without a purpose - life with wrong priorities. Moreover, life's greatest failure is to be successful in the wrong assignment" (Dr. Myles Munroe).

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:22-23 KJV).

Christianity as a religion is well-known, well-established, well-studied, and well-distributed; but little or nothing is known about the Kingdom. What Adam lost in the garden of Eden was not a religion but the Kingdom of God that was breathed into him, which made him became a living being, according to Genesis 2:7.

We have a Kingdom: God's government, the government of Heaven, is a Kingdom, and God is the great King. And because His Kingdom extends through all creation, encompassing both the supernatural (heaven) and the natural (earth) realms, it covers us also, which is why we need to understand it.

Summarily:
We have a Kingdom not a religion;
We have a King in Heaven; We are kings on the earth;
We have a Lord in Heaven; We are lords on the earth;
We have a High Priest in Heaven; We are the priests on the earth (Rev.1:6;5:10);
Our God reigns forever; We reign with our God on the earth (Rev. 5:10);
We are Destined for Dominion; The earth is our Domain (Psalm 115:16; Genesis 1:26,28);
Christianity is not a religion; Christianity is a lifestyle of our Kingdom;
Eternal life is a life-giving life; It is about rulership and not a religion;
Christ came to restore the Kingdom and remake us kings and priests to reign on the earth;
Our making is in the pursuit of the Kingdom of God, with all our hearts (Jeremiah 29:13).

That's how far we can go today. Let's make it a date again, next Sunday, on same platform, as the Holy Spirit, the Resident Governor of the Kingdom of God unfolds more on the Kingdom Realities Today Series.

God bless you beyond measures for reading.
