Today's Thought: HEARING GOD'S VOICE!
"And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden" (Genesis 3:8 KJV).
Communication is a vital force in life. Without communication, there will be no interaction and if there's no interaction, there is no relationship. Relationship is in categories: we have family, friendship, corporate and divine. It could be public, private or personal. In other words life cannot be lived in an isolation, it won't make sense. Communication establishes and keeps relationships. Our relationship with God is authenticated by communication. From today's scripture, we found out that God takes delight in communication with man, as we saw in the first man at the beginning of creation. He came down to the garden in the cool of the day, so there won't be disturbance or interference in their communication. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever, He changes not (Hebrews 13:8).
They heard the voice of the Lord and so we do today as believers. Any believer that claims not to hear God, is not a true believer, because His Word is His voice to us. Let me clarify this: hearing God's voice is in levels, because He speaks to us at our levels per time. He speaks through His written Word (Holy Bible), audible voice (Rhema) to our spirit man; because God is a Spirit and we connect with Him via our spirit man. Therefore, from Today's Thought: hearing God's voice demands: (1) A relationship with Him (2) Attention to His Word (3) Quietness of the spirit man and (4) Creating time for Him in our lives. Hearing God is of great benefits in life. It guides us; guards us; gives us victory over the devil; guarantees eternal life; grants us peace; gives us access to His plan and purpose for our lives; and so numerous benefits we cannot mention, because of time frame. You cannot hear God and be confused, grounded, depressed, hopeless, duped; fail, fall, falter, suffer defeats or loss in life. Hearing God's voice is the greatest thing in life and must be treasured as such.
Ponder on this: Hearing God's Voice is of the Greatest Value in Life!
Remember: HEARING GOD'S VOICE IS IN LEVELS, BECAUSE HE SPEAKS TO US AT OUR LEVELS PER TIME! Have a glorious weekend.
