Today's Thought: GOD WITHHOLDS NOTHING!
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly" (Psalm 84:11 KJV).
God is a good God, He does good things always. Life is based on choices to make and the choice can either make or mar the person. The choice to serve God only and walk by His Word as the standard of living makes exceedingly great in life. The scripture says: "their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another gods" (Psalm 16:4). Making the Lord your God no matter what, is what maintains your lot in life. When God is your portion, He will definitely make your portion the best at all times. From Today's scripture, it is certain that God will not withhold anything from the upright. He releases His best to them that make Him their first in life.
Making the choice to seek God first above all else, is what secures all else in life, according to Matthew 6:33. God does not permit sun without providing a shield, in case the sun is getting too hot, so that there can be comfort. Sun has its purpose and likewise the shield. In case the sun is becoming unbearable for the animals, the plants provide the shield for them. The Lord God make them all, for a purpose and season. God has given us grace through Jesus Christ, which can be multiplied through the knowledge of His Word (2 Peter 1:2). As the grace multiplied, it must culminate in glory in life, but only for them that walk uprightly. The question now is: are you walking uprightly? Your answer can only be justified by God's Word, which is the standard for uprightness in life. This is the reason God gave His Word: so that we can walk uprightly and enjoy all good things in life. Therefore, we must stick to the Word of God to stay upright in this world; in order to enjoy the best in life now and forever in eternity.
Ponder on this: God Upholds All Things by the Word of His Power and Withholds Nothing Good from the Upright!
Remember: THE CHOICE TO SERVE GOD ONLY AND WALK BY HIS WORD AS THE STANDARD OF LIVING MAKES EXCEEDINGLY GREAT IN LIFE. Have a glorious week.
