Today's Thought: RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR MUCH MORE!
"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" (Romans 5:17 KJV).
We are not forgiven sinners seeking for grace, but we are new creations saved by grace, the moment we gave our lives to Jesus Christ, as believers. According to 2 Corinthians 5:18: "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation". If all things in our lives are now of God, they should be the reflections of God's kind of things. Our lives cannot be going down but up. If things are going down, perhaps God is waiting on you to come to your right spiritual sense of awakening, and understand who you are: new creation, in order to walk in the reality of your new status in Him.
Meanwhile, God had done all He ought to do, for us to be His true image and likeness on the earth. Christ came to the earth, to bring us to the true revelation of who we are. He came to show us who God is, and how God is like. God is not less and less but He is I AM. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He changed not. The text for today revealed that: receiving the gift of Righteousness places and perfects us to reign much more over sins by one, Jesus Christ. Righteousness is a gift to take and not a choice to make, in order to be who we are. It is not abort works but about the walk: the walk of righteousness to be righteous. The Word of God reveals the righteousness of God, that we need to walk in righteousness in life. To be righteous in the eyes of God, you must receive the Word of God, where righteousness is being revealed from faith to faith (Romans 1:17); and then live by it. "Righteousness is first Revealed and Received from the Word of God, before it can be Real in one's life".
Ponder on this: The Gift of Righteousness Perfects Believers for a Life of Much More!
