Today's Thought: FAITH WORKS BY LOVE!
"For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love" (Galatians 5:6 KJV).
Faith in God makes every impossible possible in life. Faith has unlimited capacity to produce but it is very important that: we know how to make our faith work. Faith that works is rooted in the Word of God. We must know the Word of God to have faith in God. Hanging around the Word of God does not make you know the Word of God, but taking time to study the Word is what gets you acquintted with the Word of God. If you enter a restaurant, you cannot benefit from the meal by merely perceiving the aroma, but you must order for your desired item to be benefitted. From today's scripture, any faith that works must be a love generated faith, otherwise it won't work. How does love makes faith work? Simply put, love is powerful.
According to the scripture: "Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:8). We are also told in the scriptures that: God is love and the Word is God (1 John 4:16; John 1:1). Bringing them together, we will discover that living by the Word is living by love. And faith comes by hearing the Word of God: which implies that faith comes by love. It takes the love for God to give attention to the Word of God; and when attention is giving to the Word, it births faith. Therefore, without the love for the Word, faith cannot come and until faith comes, the works of faith are not possible. In other words, at the base of the faith that works is the love of God at work. David said: "how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day" (Psalm 119:97). No wonder by faith; he defeated the giant, Goliath! Also loving people around; is a proof that you love God that you can't see physically. So walking in love is walking in God; that makes your faith in God to work by love (God) that never fails.
Ponder on this: The Love of God is the Force Behind the Faith that Works!
Remember: WALKING IN LOVE IS WALKING IN GOD; THAT MAKES YOUR FAITH IN GOD TO WORK BY LOVE THAT NEVER FAILS! Have a glorious day.
